The Basics of Trading a Stock: Know Your Orders

Before you start to invest in the stock market, there are some basic types of orders you must know. It’s important to know what these orders are, even if you don’t plan to use them at all.

Order orders such as buying or selling are called orders. If you decide to invest in the stock market, there are a few basic order types to learn.

From the outside, it looks like the actions that can be handled by pressing a button, but the orders can be quite confusing depending on the type of order you send. Even if you’re not going to use mixed orders at all, it’s best to know what they are.

We will also talk about credit transactions for those who have not heard before.

Market Orders

Market orders are orders to buy or sell immediately at the best price. If you have a volunteer buyer or seller, your order will be executed immediately. These transactions always take place at the best possible price.

In other words, you will buy at the lowest possible price when you buy and sell at the highest possible price. But these prices can change even at the time of exchange. Therefore, the market orders do not take place at a certain price, even different parts of your order can be realized at different prices.

The only thing that is guaranteed by the market is that the buyer or the seller is quite sure that your order will be executed.

Limit Orders

When a certain price limit is met in the limit orders, which are the more advanced versions of the purchase and sale orders, trading takes place.

Let’s say you want to buy Microsoft shares traded on NASDAQ. The current price of the shares is $ 110.89, but the maximum cost you would pay for Microsoft’s unit share is $ 90. You may place a purchase limit of $ 90 on Microsoft shares; that is, when Microsoft shares fall below or below $ 90, orders are not made unless Microsoft shares fall below $ 90.

Or suppose that you want to sell your Microsoft stake away. You have no intention of selling at a price of less than $ 150. In this case, when the unit price of Microsoft shares is $ 150, you can issue a limit for the sale.

However, it is important to note that the prices will not be realized unless the buyer or the seller is not present.

Limit orders are only trading orders that operate at a specific price. They help you with the price you want.

Stop Orders

In contrast to limit orders with a certain price limit, there is a certain price at the stop orders, and transactions are made at that price. When the set slat price is reached, the stop order works as a market order. This does not guarantee that stop orders will certainly occur at the price of the slat.

Stop orders always take precedence over market orders.

When the markets reach the set price, a stop order is made and the transaction takes place at the best possible price. So if you order a stop to a turbulent stock, you’re more likely to pay a lot more (or less) than you’d expect.

Stop orders are similar to limit orders, but they are not the same. While a limit order serves to sell (or buy) above a certain price, stop orders work like market orders when the set price bar is met.

The general function of stop orders is to prevent large losses.

Credit Transactions

When opening a commission account for your investments, you can also request a safe deposit account. A cash account allows you to trade on a stock exchange brokerage firm.

Because of the potential to attract more credits, credit transactions appear to be advantageous for many investors, but one should not forget that the loss will also increase if there is a potential loss.

The security of the loan received in the cash account is the money and shares in the commission account. If the money in the bank account falls below the specified criteria, the commission company will send you a margin call.

You will be asked to deposit more money into your account in the margin call, or you will be asked to remove the market price (whether you wish or not). These calls can cost you a lot of money, especially if you have to dispose of your shares at very low prices.

You can increase your earnings by earning more shares with less cash and you can make huge losses from your failed investments by taking a risk you cannot remove.

As can be seen in this article, trading in the stock market can be a complicated business; You can also find out how meticulous it is to decide which company to invest in. For this reason, it will be beneficial to take the steps by taking into account the potential risks as well as the rewards you will get on your investment journey.
